Job Title: Welder/Fabricator

Supervisor’s Title: VP of Design

Department: Engineering

The Welder / Fabricator works under the direction of the Fabrication Shop Lead with minimal supervision. They will lay out, fit, and weld stainless and carbon steel structures. They measure and mark components using blueprints/drawings. They assist in equipment assembly and installation. They are responsible for the inventory, storage, and transport of parts and materials.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Read and interpret shop drawings.
  • Cut, shape, and finish components.
  • Mig and Tig welding in vertical, flat, horizontal or overhead positions.
  • Verify component dimensions, proper weld application, and quality of weldments
  • Assemble finished weldments.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, cranes and hoists.
  • Organize and store materials and components according to a plan or system.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Able to work overtime and/or weekends as scheduled.
  • Other duties as necessitated by the business.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Physically able to wear required appropriate personal protective equipment including welding helmet, gloves, protective apron and/or leather attire, hearing protection, safety glasses, steel toe shoes.
  • Pass TemperPack fork truck testing and certification.


  • 2+ years working in welding and fabrication, or equivalent education.

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Current certification in MIG and / or TIG welding or the ability to become certified.

Physical Requirements:

  • Be on your feet for 10-12 hours.
  • Able to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Requires sufficient manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate production equipment safely.
  • Able to reach, bend, kneel, and climb while performing repetitive tasks in a non-climate controlled metal fabrication environment.
