We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. Under the direction of the Director of Training this role assists in designing, developing and delivering strategic employee learning and development programs including, but not limited to, hourly associate training, onboarding, and career development through various modalities including presentations to large or small groups, e-learning and interactive sessions, etc.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Study our manufacturing process and remain up to date on new equipment and best practices
  • Seek and gather information from management, employees, and other departments regarding the effectiveness of completed training courses and constantly seek to improve
  • Measure employee’s information retention rates by issuing assessment tests and quizzes on course materials
  • Create instructional materials to be used in training
  • Update and maintain our Learning Management System
  • Actively seek current training methods and best practices to facilitate training employees
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with management to proactively identify topics to be address or areas in need of additional instruction
  • Assist in planning, creating, and implementing each year’s training courses and materials for each department
  • Lead a team of trainers in their day-to-day activities
  • Manage time and attendance of hourly employees
  • Incident response
  • Coaches and corrects unsafe behavior
  • Assist in the onboarding of temporary and permanent employees
  • Other duties as necessitated by the business

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Previous experience working as a Training and Development Supervisor role is preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Proficient using of Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously
  • Instructional experience in a group business setting preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of best practices in creating instructional materials
  • Experience creating yearly training plans and materials for all departments
  • Manufacturing experience preferred

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Be on your feet for 4-8 hours
