TemperPack is a rapidly growing company based in Richmond, Virginia and Las Vegas, Nevada. We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. The markets we serve have an urgent need for disruptive, sustainable alternatives to replace the wide array of non-sustainable packaging materials conventionally used in the cold-chain such as Styrofoam coolers. Job Title: Training Associate

Supervisor’s Title: Training and Development Supervisor

Description:

The role of the Training Associate is to oversee and assist in the process of training and developing hourly associates on and off the manufacturing floor. The Training Associate will audit current processes and suggest necessary updates to standards based on safety, machine, and business needs.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Will train hourly employees to full competency
  • Will participate in safety committee activities
  • Perform process and safety audits and suggest necessary updates
  • Escalate process standard discrepancies to training supervisor
  • Incident response
  • Ability to identify cross-training opportunities
  • Ability to create training focuses
  • Ability to be trained on powered equipment
  • Maintain and update Learning Management System
  • Document trainee’s training progress
  • Other duties as necessitated by the business

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience working with complex equipment preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Be on your feet for 10-12 hours
  • Able to lift 40 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts
  • Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts
