TemperPack is a rapidly growing company based in Richmond, Virginia. We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. The markets we serve have an urgent need for disruptive, sustainable alternatives to replace the wide array of non-sustainable packaging materials conventionally used in the cold-chain such as Styrofoam coolers. Description:

Join a company that knows the value of its employees and works with you to develop your career. We are currently seeking a Shipping Clerk at our Richmond, VA location. As a shipping clerk, you are responsible for checking in all inbound and outbound drivers, and all visitors. It is vital for the shipping clerk to maintain all paperwork throughout the shift while keeping the office clean and tidy and has great attention to detail.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Accurately inputs all loads into SAP
  • Fills out the daily customer shipping report and updates as necessary
  • Verifies, scans, and files all paperwork daily
  • Communicate with our TMS team
  • Creates the daily load sheet for the following day using Excel
  • Answers the phone for any calls concerning shipping and receiving
  • Checks in all visitors and truck drivers at the front desk
  • Update/maintain the CSR
  • Weekly non-inventory count
  • Updating and printing BOLs (case by case)
  • Other duties as necessitated by the business

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience in Microsoft Office
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements:

  • Be on your feet for 10-12 hours
  • Able to lift 40 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts
  • Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts
