Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to support our manufacturing and warehouse departments. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, thorough, and prompt. This individual will be responsible for monitoring and controlling our quality systems to ensure product meets customer satisfaction. Successful Quality Assurance Managers are collaborative team members, demonstrating a capacity for fast-paced work, creative problem solving, and a perpetual willingness to learn. Quality Assurance Managers collaborate closely with the Kraft Loop, ClimaCell, and Warehouse teams to bring the help ensure all processes follow all quality SOPs and guidelines. This position is based in Richmond, Virginia, and reports to the SVP, Operations & Engineering. Compensation and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience level.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Establish and monitor quality procedures, standards, and specifications for the facility.
  • Aligning cross-functional internal stakeholders around production and quality standards.
  • Carry out research to identify ways to reduce waste and maximize resources.
  • Ensure that manufacturing processes are in compliance with both national and international standards.
  • Proffer recommendations to company management on ways to improve on existing quality processes.
  • Set clear expectations with team with direct and professional communication.
  • Supervise technicians, quality associates, and other company staff to ensure they perform their duties in line with established quality procedures.
  • Approve compliant products and reject defective ones.
  • Prepare and present reports to update upper management on quality activities.
  • Maintain proper records of quality test, procedures, and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

  • 3-4 years of quality management, preferably in manufacturing environment
  • ISO 9001 experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capacity for fast-paced work and adaptability to change
  • Self-directed learning and retention of training
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis
  • Ability to create training plans for quality techs and associates

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
