We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. Job Description:

We are seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor who will assist the Manufacturing Manager in the comprehensive day-to-day activities of the production area. The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of hourly associates in the safety, productivity, and quality of a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Compensation and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience level.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Demonstrate proper safety leadership and guidance while managing 24/7 production of extruding and converting operations.
  • Monitor and manage production quality and operating conditions to maintain and improve KPIs.
  • Coordinate with the Manufacturing Manager, Manufacturing Assistant Manager and maintenance as required for complex or rapid diagnosis and repair of issues.
  • Analyze the production data and team performance and recommend improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in improvement projects and implementation of machine or process upgrades such as reliability, safety improvements and quality development.
  • Monitor temporary workers’ hours and adhere to allotted labor budget.
  • Meet or exceed daily production goals.
  • Other duties the business necessitates.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of general industrial safety regulations and requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of safety rules including lockout/tagout.
  • Knowledge of product specifications.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process flow from raw materials to finished goods.
  • Ability to work any shift and on-call as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others and as part of a team including across functional areas such as R&D, sales, and operations.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated computer skills.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing, warehouse or industrial experience.
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience preferably in a manufacturing environment

Education and Certifications:

  • 4 year college education, with degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or Industrial Technology preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Be on your feet for up to 12 hours
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts
  • Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts
