TemperPack is a rapidly growing company based in Richmond, Virginia and Las Vegas, NV. We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. The markets we serve have an urgent need for disruptive, sustainable alternatives to replace the wide array of non-sustainable packaging materials conventionally used in the cold-chain, such as Styrofoam coolers. Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Description:

As a Logistics Coordinator, you are responsible for supporting production by managing and monitoring shipments and being prompt with the input of our Transport Management System. It’s vital for the Logistics Coordinator to be organized and detailed while prioritizing a high volume of material requests and shipments. It is essential that a Logistics Coordinator can work successfully, both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
  • Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively
  • Utilize logistics TMS to optimize procedures
  • Recruit and coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to availabilities and requirements
  • Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs
  • Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction.
  • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
  • Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.
  • Prepare accurate reports for upper management.
  • Other duties as necessitated by the business

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 2+ years in Warehouse and Logistics operating
  • 2+ years of procurement
  • 2+ years customer service or logistics management

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 15 pounds unassisted
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts
  • Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts
