We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. The markets we serve have an urgent need for disruptive, sustainable alternatives to replace the wide array of non-sustainable packaging materials conventionally used in the cold-chain such as Styrofoam coolers. Job Title: Engineering Inventory Intern

Supervisor’s Title: Lead Engineer

Department: Engineering

Location: 4447 Carolina Avenue, Richmond, VA 23222

FLSA: Non-Exempt


As an Engineering Inventory Intern you will collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance leadership to inventory and store electrical and mechanical spares. You and the team will determine the best possible structure of the data, streamline data entry, and organize physical storage. At all times, you will provide safety leadership by observing and adhering to safety regulations throughout all project phases.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Performing all work with an emphasis on safety and quality
  • Utilize Excel and Upkeep to inventory components
  • Sort and shelve components
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
  • Other duties as necessitated by the business

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Detail oriented with high sense of urgency and positive attitude
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Able to stay on task with minimal supervision
  • Ability to learn new process and develop new skills
  • Works well under pressure and able to meet deadlines

Education and Certifications:

  • Working towards a BS in Business, Engineering, or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
  • Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts
  • Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts
