TemperPack is a rapidly growing company based in Richmond, Virginia.  We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products.  The markets we serve have an urgent need for disruptive, sustainable alternatives to replace the wide array of non-sustainable packaging materials conventionally used in the cold-chain such as Styrofoam coolers.  Our aspiration is to provide packaging solutions that customers and end-consumers feel great about using.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Shuttle Driver to join the TemperPack team. This individual will be entrusted with carefully transporting inventory between multiple TemperPack storage locations within the same industrial park in Richmond, VA.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Transporting goods via tractor trailer within an industrial park.
  • Maintaining company provided equipment and documentation.
  • ELD usage for all DOT Compliant Regulations.
  • Overseeing loads for proper loading techniques.
  • Working mechanical knowledge of tractors and trailers.
  • Knowledge of pre-trip and post-trip inspection procedures.
  • Reporting mechanical issues to direct Supervisor.
  • Good judgement in all driving conditions.
  • Occasionally using a forklift to load/unload trailers when moves are not being made.
  • Other duties as necessitated by the business.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 5+ years of driving experience.
  • 3 + years of forklift experience.

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • CDL Class A license highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Be on your feet for 10-12 hours.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
  • Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts.
  • Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts.
