TemperPack is a rapidly growing company based in Richmond, Virginia. We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. The markets we serve have an urgent need for disruptive, sustainable alternatives to replace the wide array of non-sustainable packaging materials conventionally used in the cold-chain such as Styrofoam coolers. Our aspiration is to provide packaging solutions that customers and end-consumers feel great about using.

Supervisor’s Title: Supply Chain Manager

This position is responsible for planning/ordering material to support production, drive responsive supplier performance, process and service improvements, and productivity improvements throughout the supply chain. The candidate should have proven analytical, project management, and interpersonal skills.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work with Production/Demand Planners to ensure raw materials are available to meet manufacturing’s needs
  • Manages day-to-day to ensure inventory of raw materials, inbound logistics, and plant communication/support goals to maximize production and working capital
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining clear and effective policies and procedures
  • Responsible for communication between operations, account management and suppliers to ensure that adequate materials are received, and proper information is obtained
  • Manage multiple tasks with varying timelines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Supplier ownership/relationship management
  • Other duties as necessitated by the business

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 3-5 years of Supply Chain, Procurement, Distribution or related field experience
  • Problem solving ability and critical thinking skills required
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment

Education and Certifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree

Physical Requirements:  

  • Lift up to 15 pounds unassisted
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
